Arch Solar Moves HQ to Milwaukee

Jun 27, 2025

This BizTimes Milwaukee article highlights Arch Solar’s decision to relocate its corporate headquarters to Milwaukee as part of a major expansion driven by growing demand for renewable energy throughout Wisconsin. The move marks a significant milestone for the company, which was founded in Sheboygan County in 2003 and has grown into one of the state’s leading solar energy providers. Company leaders say the relocation strengthens Arch Solar’s presence in southeastern Wisconsin while positioning the business for continued growth in the commercial, residential, and utility-scale solar markets.

The new headquarters is located at 7764 N. 81st Street in Milwaukee and includes renovated office space, warehouse facilities, a loading dock, and collaborative work areas designed to support the company’s expanding operations. The 14,000-square-foot facility is expected to house nearly half of Arch Solar’s workforce, with plans to create approximately 30 additional green jobs in the coming years. Executives noted that Milwaukee’s increasing focus on sustainability and clean energy made the city a natural fit for the company’s next phase of development.

Arch Solar officials emphasized that the expansion reflects the rapid growth of Wisconsin’s renewable energy sector. The company has completed more than 500 solar installations across Milwaukee homes and businesses, including projects for the Baird Center, Milwaukee Public Museum, Hunger Task Force, and other high-profile organizations. According to company estimates, its overall solar portfolio offsets roughly 225,000 metric tons of carbon emissions, an environmental impact comparable to planting millions of trees or removing thousands of gasoline-powered vehicles from the road.

The article also underscores Arch Solar’s commitment to Milwaukee’s Climate and Equity Plan by increasing renewable energy access, especially in underserved neighborhoods. Company leaders said expanding solar adoption not only reduces environmental impacts but also lowers utility costs, strengthens local infrastructure, and creates sustainable employment opportunities. As energy demand and interest in clean technology continue rising, Arch Solar views Milwaukee as a central hub for future innovation and long-term investment in Wisconsin’s clean energy economy.
