Tesla Powerwalls can hold up to 3 expansions per leading unit, with up to 4 leading units total.
Enphase IQ 10C
Enphase IQ 10C batteries have 7 kW continuous power per unit. The system is AC-coupled and boasts a 15-year warranty.
Enphase has manufacturing plants in the United States.
The Enphase IQ Battery system is stackable up to 80kWh.
Can I add batteries to an existing solar system?
Yes, homeowners can often add energy storage batteries to an existing home solar system. The best approach depends on the age, design, and equipment used in the original installation, as well as your goals for adding backup power.
One common option is an AC-coupled battery. This type of system has its own inverter and can usually be added without replacing the existing solar inverter. AC-coupled storage is often a flexible solution for retrofits because it can work with many brands and system configurations.
Another option is a DC-coupled battery, which connects more directly to the solar panels. This setup can be efficient, but it may require replacing or modifying the existing inverter and other equipment.

We will assess your inverter compatibility, electrical panel capacity, available installation space, utility requirements, and the condition of the solar equipment. Arch will also ask you which appliances or circuits need backup power, since battery capacity must be matched to those loads and the desired length of backup time.
