You may have heard about the recently passed Solar for All program. Although we don’t yet have concrete details on how all the funding will be deployed, we have gathered the known information into one Solar for All breakdown for you.

What is the Solar for All program?
On Earth Day 2024, the Biden-Harris Administration and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the $7 billion Solar for All Grant Program.
Through this program, 60 agencies will deploy federal funding for states, territories, Tribal governments, municipalities, and non-profits to deploy more solar programs.
These solar programs will assist disadvantaged and low-income communities through direct funding for solar and green job creation.
Is Solar for All in Wisconsin?
Yes! The EPA has selected Wisconsin Economic Development to handle Wisconsin’s allotment of the Solar for All Program.
Wisconsin’s Solar for All Program will receive $62.4 million from the Environmental Protection Agency. The programs will use the funding to benefit rooftop residential solar, multifamily solar, and community solar projects.
Who is eligible to participate in Solar for All?
The exact requirements for participating in Wisconsin’s Solar for All grants remain unreleased. WEDC is working through contracting requirements with the EPA and anticipates releasing more information by the end of August 2024.
When will the Solar for All funding be available in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin Economic Development expects funding for projects to begin in late 2024 or early 2025.
How will Solar for All save me money on going solar?
While the details for the program are still in flux, we know the Solar for All funding will be an additional funding source beyond current incentives.
Current Wisconsin Solar Incentives include a mix of the 30% federal rebate (IRA funding) and the Focus on Energy solar rebate.

Is Arch Solar a Solar for All contractor?
At this time, there are no official contractors for the Solar for All Wisconsin program. As more details become available, Arch will provide resources in any way we can.
Arch has always been a community-focused company. We are currently one of the chosen installers for the Grow Solar Greater Milwaukee group buy program, as well as the MadiSUN group buy program in Dane County. Arch has also been the ongoing contractor for Grow Solar for Humanity, working with Habitat for Humanity in designated low-income neighborhoods on solar systems to cut residents’ monthly bills.
