Arch Named 4th Largest Women-Owned Business in Wisconsin

Sep 19, 2025

The Milwaukee Business Journal’s annual ranking of Wisconsin’s largest women-owned businesses highlights companies that are making a significant economic and community impact across the state. Among the featured organizations is Arch Solar, a Wisconsin-based renewable energy company that has grown into one of the region’s leading solar energy providers while maintaining its status as a certified women-owned business. The recognition reflects both the company’s business success and its role in advancing clean energy initiatives throughout Wisconsin.

Founded in 2003, Arch Solar has expanded from its early beginnings in Sheboygan County into a statewide operation with offices in Milwaukee, Madison, and Plymouth. The company now employs more than 150 professionals specializing in solar and energy storage solutions for residential, commercial, nonprofit, and utility-scale projects. Its inclusion on the list demonstrates how women-owned businesses are increasingly influencing industries traditionally dominated by men, particularly construction, engineering, and renewable energy.

The article also emphasizes Arch Solar’s growing visibility through high-profile projects across Wisconsin. The company has completed installations for organizations such as the Baird Center, Milwaukee Public Museum, Hunger Task Force, and the Pettit National Ice Center. In addition to its technical work, Arch Solar has become known for its community partnerships and sustainability advocacy, supporting initiatives that promote clean energy access, workforce development, and environmental responsibility.

Company leaders attribute much of Arch Solar’s success to its mission-driven culture and commitment to long-term sustainability. As energy costs rise and demand for renewable power increases, the company continues to position itself as a key player in Wisconsin’s transition to cleaner energy sources. The Business Journal’s recognition not only celebrates financial growth among women-owned businesses but also showcases companies like Arch Solar that are helping shape Wisconsin’s economic and environmental future through innovation, leadership, and community engagement.
