You always hear that solar in Wisconsin is a good investment – but what happens after your initial investment is made and your solar is installed? If something goes wrong, who has the best residential solar maintenance?
In this newer industry, every installer is not able to service your product. However, Arch both installs AND services residential solar. We’ve been around for 20 years, and we know that solar – like any home technology – needs to have special technicians who can assist with preventing and maintaining your solar array.
If you choose to install residential solar with Arch Solar (or if you’re looking for solar maintenance in Southeast Wisconsin), here’s what we offer:
A quick look at monitoring through Enphase – Arch’s partner in residential solar monitoring.
General Solar Monitoring
Arch provides complimentary monitoring for every residential solar installation. Our Service & Quality Management team proactively checks your solar system every other week to make sure everything is operating smoothly.. If you did not have your solar installed by Arch but still want our SQM team to monitor your solar system, we can add your system to our queue for a small one-time fee.
Southeast Wisconsin Solar Monitoring Costs:
- Arch-Installed Projects: FREE
- External Projects: A one-time fee of $275 to adopt your system, which includes a complimentary in-person visit
Stranded Systems
One of the most frustrating parts of the solar industry is the risk of fly-by-night installers. Many companies jump into the solar world to make a quick buck and desert customers before a project is even finished.
As your local Wisconsin solar installers, we’re committed to making sure our neighbors get help with abandoned solar projects. Each project is addressed on a case-by-case basis, starting with a consult and home visit to assess what is needed to make your system operational.
What Do I Do If My Solar Installer Goes Out of Business?
- Step 1: Call Arch for an initial consult
- Step 2: Arch visits your home & gives you a quote for what is needed to get you up and running
- Step 3: You sign your contract & we get to work
- Step 4: Your solar is operational – enjoy the sunshine!
Removal & Reinstallation
While solar systems have standard product warranties of 25 years, that may not align with your roof’s age and condition. Arch does not recommend installing solar on roofs older than 15 years in Wisconsin, but that still leaves some timelines unaccounted for.
When it’s time to get a new roof, Arch offers a residential solar maintenance service called Removal and Reinstallation (R&R). During this process, we completely remove the panels, racking, and electrical components from your roof so you can get a new roof put on.
Once your roof work is finished, Arch will reinstall your solar system, so you won’t miss out on the remaining years of solar production!

Many solar installers set up your project but are not invested in your system for the long term. Arch Solar has a dedicated Service & Quality Management team for preventative residential solar maintenance and solar repairs. When you work with Arch Solar for your Wisconsin home solar installation, we automatically care for your system through our standard monitoring plan. If you have an externally installed solar system, Arch is still happy to help you find your maintenance and repair solution!
