More About
EV Chargers

Level 1 EV Chargers
  • Standard Voltage: Level 1 chargers use a standard 120-volt household outlet, making them accessible and easy to use without additional installation requirements.
  • Portable and Convenient: These chargers are typically included with electric vehicles and are portable, allowing charging at home, work, or anywhere with a standard outlet.
  • Slow Charging Speed: They deliver 2 to 5 miles of range per hour, requiring extended charging times, often over 24 hours for a full charge on larger battery vehicles.
  • Low Cost: Level 1 chargers are the most affordable charging option since they don’t require specialized infrastructure or professional installation.
  • Ideal for Light Usage: Best suited for drivers with short commutes, overnight charging routines, or as a backup charging solution in emergencies.
Level 2 EV Chargers
  • Faster Charging Speeds: Level 2 chargers operate at 240 volts, delivering 10 to 60 miles of range per hour, significantly reducing charging time compared to Level 1 chargers.
  • Home and Public Installation: Commonly installed in homes, workplaces, and public charging stations, they require a dedicated 240-volt outlet or hardwired connection by a professional electrician.
  • Versatile Charging Option: Suitable for both daily use and longer trips, making them ideal for drivers with higher mileage needs or limited downtime for charging.
  • Enhanced Features: Many Level 2 chargers offer smart capabilities, such as Wi-Fi connectivity, app control, energy usage tracking, and scheduled charging to take advantage of off-peak rates.
  • Moderate Cost: While more expensive than Level 1 chargers, they offer better performance and are often supported by government incentives or rebates to offset installation costs.

Level 2 chargers significantly reduce charging time compared to standard outlets, adding up to 60 miles of range per hour.

Owning a home charger can save money, as electricity rates are often cheaper than public charging fees. Many chargers feature smart technology, allowing you to optimize charging during off-peak hours for further savings. They also add value to your property, appealing to EV buyers. With rebates and incentives available, installing a home EV charger is an eco-friendly investment that enhances everyday convenience.

Commercial

Commercial EV chargers offer significant benefits for businesses, customers, and the environment. Installing EV chargers attracts eco-conscious customers and increases foot traffic, boosting revenue and brand loyalty. For employees, on-site charging promotes sustainability and convenience, enhancing job satisfaction and retention.

Businesses can generate additional income by offering paid charging services or partnerships with EV networks. Installing chargers also demonstrates environmental responsibility, aligning with sustainability goals and reducing carbon footprints.
