Operations and Maintenance Technician 4
Summary of position:
This role involves overseeing equipment operations to ensure efficiency and safety, leading a team of five technicians, and coordinating projects by obtaining quotes and communicating updates effectively with site leads and office staff. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining solar sites, commissioning utility sites, performing ground fault analysis, and certifying team members’ skills. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills; Candidates must be able to perform duties within reasonable accommodation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Monitor equipment operations to maintain efficiency and safety.
2. Obtain price quotes for suppliers and labor estimates for projects.
3. Effectively communicate project requirements and updates, both verbally and in writing, with coworkers, vendors, and contractors.
4. Lead a team of up to 5 technicians
5. De-energize and troubleshoot solar sites.
6. Perform corrective maintenance.
7. Commission Utility sites.
8. Perform Ground Fault Analysis.
9. Certify team members on skills they have mastered.
