Summary of position:
This role includes driving the efficiency and scalability of technical processes, systems, and infrastructure while ensuring alignment with business goals. The Field Supervisor works closely with field teams to optimize workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement best practices. They also oversee technical project management, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial to this role to ensure high-performing, reliable technical operations.
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and mentor field technician teams (2–3 teams of 2+ techs).
• Promote safety, training, and growth while executing improvement plans.
• Operate the technician training program and help refine SOPs.
Field Operations & Site Support
• Complete maintenance tasks (minimum 70% billable hours).
• Monitor contracted solar sites at least twice weekly.
• Ensure technicians are prepared daily with tools and knowledge.
• Contact technicians regarding materials that need to be shipped or picked up.
Efficiency & Program Management
• Drive time management and continuous process improvement.
• Support technician certifications (e.g., forklift, scissor lift, telehandler).
Reporting & Quality Control
• Review and approve timecards, job reports, and customer deliverables.
• Ensure accuracy of Arch Electric and IR reports before final submission.
• Assist in documenting technical tasks for SOP development.
Customer Engagement & Business Alignment
• Support sales activities, quoting, and relationship development.
• Contribute to retrofit solutions, parts procurement, and engineering support.
• Help align operations with company goals and identify growth opportunities.
