Maywood – Ellwood H. May Environmental Clean Up
April 27th combining Earth Day and Arbor Day into an afternoon of caring for our Earth includes trail repair, maintaining planting beds, invasive species removal, and more. To volunteer, please register ahead so we can plan supplies and equipment. Bring work gloves, leaf rakes, and enthusiasm. Non-latex gloves and garbage bags or buckets will be provided. Please consider bringing your own work gloves and bucket from home to help cut down on plastic waste. Hoes, rakes and pick up sticks or grabbers can be helpful for reaching garbage items, so please consider bringing these items if you have them. Dress for the weather as it can be very cold and windy. Point Beach Spring Clean Up
Join us Saturday, April 27th from 9am to approximately 1pm for our annual Spring Cleanup! Friends of Point Beach will provide lunch. Anyone is welcome. Let us know if you have a group coming so we can plan accordingly w/ projects.

Tree Planing at Point Creek Natural Area
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Please help us plant 2,000 trees! The holes are pre-dug! Your job is to cover roots with soil! Bring your friends and family, work gloves, garden trowel, large hammer, and a kneeling pad if you have one. Point Creek Natural Area is a 39-acre Lake Michigan shoreline parcel with beautiful views and wonderful habitat.
