Earlier this month we shared the history of earth day and some ideas for how you can take your care of mother earth to the next level, now we share some real opportunities with you to get up and join the movement! We’ve compiled a list of some area river & park clean up events that you can attend with the family!
Plymouth Community Clean Up
Join Chiro-Health from 8:30-10:30am on may 4th for our 10th Annual Community Clean-up! Meet in the Chiro-Health parking lot. Garbage bags will be provided. Please bring your own gloves. More Event Info Here
Maywood – Ellwood H. May Environmental Clean Up
April 27th combining Earth Day and Arbor Day into an afternoon of caring for our Earth includes trail repair, maintaining planting beds, invasive species removal, and more. To volunteer, please register ahead so we can plan supplies and equipment. Bring work gloves, leaf rakes, and enthusiasm. Lake Michigan Beach Clean Up
Join us at any of our 4 sites along the Sheboygan’s Lakeshore to help make a difference in your community. Register online: greatlakesadopt.org Or email Kendra@lnrp.org with any questions.

Rock the Green Earth Day Celebration
Join Rock the Green for the 8th Annual (and FREE) Earth Day Celebration Presented by Milwaukee Riverkeeper at Picnic Area 8 in Estabrook Park, Milwaukee on April 27th. Milwaukee Riverkeeper provides the gloves, trash bags, and amazing FREE T-SHIRTS. YOU provide the hands and energy to pick up the interesting and sometimes bizarre trash that finds its way into our beautiful river system. More Info Here
Lake Michigan Beach Clean Up
Choose a beach in Manitowoc to enhance. Contact: email@example.com
Non-latex gloves and garbage bags or buckets will be provided. Please consider bringing your own work gloves and bucket from home to help cut down on plastic waste. Hoes, rakes and pick up sticks or grabbers can be helpful for reaching garbage items, so please consider bringing these items if you have them. Dress for the weather as it can be very cold and windy. Be advised that the restrooms may still be closed for the season. More Event Info Here
Point Beach Spring Clean Up
Join us Saturday, April 27th from 9am to approximately 1pm for our annual Spring Cleanup! Friends of Point Beach will provide lunch. Anyone is welcome. Let us know if you have a group coming so we can plan accordingly w/ projects.

Tree Planing at Point Creek Natural Area
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Please help us plant 2,000 trees! The holes are pre-dug! Your job is to cover roots with soil! Bring your friends and family, work gloves, garden trowel, large hammer, and a kneeling pad if you have one. Point Creek Natural Area is a 39-acre Lake Michigan shoreline parcel with beautiful views and wonderful habitat.
